CLSU Joins DOST Science Consortium

Central Luzon State University with the Institute of graduate Studies as the participating unit is now a member of the Department of Science and Technology Accelerated Human Resource Development Program (ASTHRDP) project also known as the Science Consortium.

It is an honor for CLSU to be a part of the Science Consortium and a recognition of CLSU's relevant and comprehensive program in the sciences. The other member schools are UP, ADMU, DLSU, UST, MSU- IT, Iligan and Visayas State University.

The Science Consortium among others aims to accelerate the development of a critical mass of science, mathematics and technology experts for national sustainability and competitiveness, sharing of resources and exchange of information through collaboration in academic and research activities to produce technically competent MS and PhD graduates in the basic and applied sciences and mathematics is another objective of the Science Consortium.

The memorandum of Understanding was signed on October 14, 2009 at Lindaen Suite, Pasis City by the presidents of the member institutions and the deans of the participating units as witnesses.

The  Graduate Education Association of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines –Region III (GEACCUP III) held its Annual Regional Convention on September 12, 2009 at Tarlac State University, Tarlac City.
